Our Purpose

Each and every infant and young child with a disability or delay and their family will have equal access and opportunity to fully participate in individualized and effective early childhood intervention services under IDEA that are responsive and appropriate to their wants and needs and unique backgrounds delivered and supported by qualified, competent, and interdisciplinary practitioners, administrators, and faculty in the home, community, schools and places where typically developing children play and learn resulting in improved child and family outcomes.

Early Childhood Intervention is a statewide system of services and support provided to eligible children, ages birth to five, and their families, as required by IDEA.

Personnel includes all personnel categories providing IDEA Part C and Part B services.

Definition of Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) for Children Age Birth to Five Under Part C (EI) and Part B Section 619 (ECSE) of IDEA
